Go Figure...

SO.....I joined a gym on Monday, April 4th! Figures for women in Yorkton! There was a HUGE special on where the sign up free was waived completely! Wahoo! This week I have gone 3 times...and it feels great!

The ladies who work there are really helpful. They took the time to show me how each machine worked and answered any (silly) questions I had. The other person I need to send a huge thank you to is a woman named Crystal T. She called me up to tell me about this fabulous VIP pass. and I am very excited to be exercising with women I know. There are atleast 9 women I know who go to the same gym!

So, THANK YOU CRYSTAL! I appreciate that phone call very much!

I weighed in @ 251.5 pounds~So again, slow process, but the inches are still coming off! PTL!

I am also back at the Made To Crave bible study, I missed the last 2 weeks of it. But back at it as of this morning! Thanks also to the ladies in this group. Blessings to all of you:)

Have a GREAT weekend all!

Weigh In!

So, it has definitely been awhile since my last post! But better late then never! I have been running around getting ready for Tradeshow season. I became a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant at the end of January and I am also getting some more paintings ready for these upcoming Tradeshows!

Anyway...here are the new and improved measurements as of about 30 seconds ago!

Bust - 49"
Bicep/Arm - 14.5"
Ribs/Waist - 41.5"
Hips - 50"
Thighs - 27"
Calves - 15.75"
Shoulders - 50"

Grand total in inches lost...9.25 INCHES OFF! WAHOO!

I realize it took 2 months to get that off but it feels good! I also started a bible study called Made To Crave by Lysa TerKeurst! What an awesome book! It's all about how God did make us to crave, but instead of turning to food for comfort, I turn to Him! We just wrapped up week 2, and already amazing results! Not only in the weight loss area but a closer relationship with Him!

I am continually striving to make healthier choices day by day, week by week, month by month! No one ever said that this was going to be an easy journey, but I am taking it one step at a time!

Until next time...(hopefully sooner rather than later!)

~Cheers~

Time to get serious!

Not too much to say today, but I FINALLY GOT BACK ON THE "WAGON". It took 3 agonizing weeks to feel good enough to exercise. (read previous entry "Injuries Hurt")

I did 20 minutes of my Skinny Jeans routine, and 16 minutes of Cardio. Feel the burn baby! lol:)

But seriously, I was feeling so sluggish and quite guilty about not exercising. It didn't help that during these 3 weeks, I let my mood eating take over. I would grab for food and eat it without even thinking about what I was doing. Which is a guilt trip in itself.

I also had a doctor's appointment last week...I got weighed:( didn't gain, but didn't lose either. I was also sent for bloodwork and everything else that goes along with complete physicals...what shocked me was that my doctor also sent me for an ECG(Electrocardiogram). Now, for all who know what this is, a simple and painless procedure, but for someone who didn't have a clue....totally freaked me out when the Lab gals said I was getting one. It was done and over with in about 1 minute. But it made me realize that my weight issue is not something I should be taking lightly. I am a big girl and the last thing that I want is to die from a heart attack due to being obese.

So, once again, Hello Monday and here is to a week of getting focused and back on track.

Injuries Hurt:(

So I thought I would write on here quick. On Friday night I was heading to bed and I tripped on my dresser drawer that I so stupidly forgot to close before. Well needless to say, I tore ligaments in my shoulder and scratched up my body pretty badly. The next morning, I was so stiff that it hurt to move. (Walk, pick up kids, even exercise) So Chris told me maybe I should lay off the exercise for a bit, just until I healed a bit.

Well this is day three and I am not as stiff and sore as Friday/Saturday but, I was cleaning the van out today and my knee hit one of the holes where the seats connect, so now I have a bruised knee:( I did try exercising today and MAN did it freakin hurt! All I ended up doing was 4 minutes of cardio (37 calories burned) I shall wait another day, but I am starting to feel like a slob and I miss doing my workouts:(

Here's to hoping I can get back to routine by the end of the week...and the moral of this story is, shut the darn dresser drawers when done using!!!

~Cheers~

End of the No Sugar week

This week I cut out sugar. Not all sugar, I cut out baking & added sugar (I drank black coffee all week, which is crazy for me because I take 2 Tablespoons of French Vanilla Coffee Mate!)...I still ate carbs & fruit. On top of that, I exercised 5 out of 7 days and lost a total of 4.6 lbs! Woohoo! Feels great! I got some flack from ppl saying I shouldn't cut out sweets entirely, because then I would binge on them in the future. But my purpose for cutting out sugar/sweets was to "cleanse/purify" my system to give it a jump start for weight loss. Don't get me wrong, I will still treat myself to something sweet once in awhile, just not as often as I was.

And on another note, I reached 1000 calories burned on the XBox Kinect! Yay! I did my 3rd Skinny Jeans workout today, and let me tell ya, it ain't easy on my thighs! But I am so excited to exercise, and I still never thought I would hear myself say that;)

Until next time...."keep fit, and have fun!" lol:)

Measurements

Well I said I wanted to post my body measurements, so here they are (finally)...

Bust - 49"
Bicep(arm) - 15 1/2"
Ribs/waist - 42 3/4"
Hips - 53"
Thighs - 28"
Calves - 16 1/4"
Shoulders - 51 1/2" (Not sure if this one is 100% accurate, had my 8 year old measure my shoulders:), but I would say it should be close because I have football shoulders, haha:)

Here's to shedding inches and dropping the pounds in the next month to come. By February 15th I would like to be down 10lbs:)

Skinny Jeans and Sexy boots!

I am in love with Your Shape Fitness Evolved! I just feel like shouting how great I feel after even 30 minutes of exercise! Woot!

I did my first "Skinny Jean" Workout. That is actually what it is called! I have a pair of skinny jeans but they are stretchy which don't really count as the real thing;) Also, this workout helps with toning calves, to fit into those super sexy boots! A few more months and I should have my sexy calves back. I still remember how shocked I was to find out when I was doing HM that calves could lose inches. So, that's what I'm working on. I haven't forgotten my other problem areas! But I have decided to do this certain routine atleast once per week. It is exhausting! My legs (and biceps) feel like jelly right about now:) Oh, and they suggest using 5 lbs weights for most exercises, so Chris bought 2 - 2lbs weights and that is MORE than enough to get started! Whew!

For anyone wondering about the Kinect, as you can see I absolutely love this invention, I assure you it is worth every penny! And exercising before bed is probably not the best idea, but it is the only time I can find to do it without kids (or hubby) around. And it's better than nothing;)

BTW, I am still working on attempting to get measurements!! I bought the tape measure but then I left it in my diaper bag, which I forgot at mama's house...so, to be continued!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Keep on Truckin'

Almost the end of Monday...new week, new challenges!
Today was my 5th day, 4th workout on the XBox Kinect.

Tonight I did 30 minutes of cardio training, which included knee lunges and jumping jacks. I am a mother of 4 children...so having said that + jumping jacks=? Well, for anyone who is a mom out there and knows what I am talking about, go ahead and LOL! I also really need to invest in some "workout" attire. Preferably something with a little more support. Being a big chested woman and breastfeeding doesnt feel so good on the girls.

Anyway, I did weigh myself the other day after my last blog, and unfortunately over the Christmas holidays I gained a bit. Since my first article in October I have gained about 5lbs. I am sitting at 262lbs:( So, again just gotta get back on track, I am recovered from the holidays. (about time, lol) And the great part is, it gets easier to stay away from binge snacking. Yes, the beginning is definitely hard, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel! I am waiting for the day that I will be able to buy clothes in the NON PLUS SECTION! Woot! Cannot wait for that feeling to come back:)

Here's to another week of the weight loss wagon!
~Cheers~

Happy New Year!!

2011! Wow! New year, fresh start! I didn't do to bad on the holidays...probably the thing that got me the most was the baking my sister brought for us! haha:)

I don't own a scale so I couldn't tell ya how much I weigh now. I will find out on February 2. I am also searching for a tape measure. I am supposed to know how to sew and I have no tape measure...go figure:) When I find one I am going to post my measurements on here. Hopefully once a month.

Chris got a Kinect for Christmas, and I absolutely love the game that came with it! Can't remember what its called but it has things like river rafting, cart races, etc. You do everything with your body. The first night I played it, my thighs had a workout! But the pain the next day was definetly worth it! We are looking into getting Dance Central and Your Shape Fitness Evolved. I am a little self concious to dance in front of my own hubby even, but I just need to get out of my comfort zone so I can dance in front of people:)

These last couple of weeks I have been eating a salad 3 times a week for lunch. My "salad" consists of some mixed greens with a can of tuna on top and slicing up some extra veggies if they are around. When I was on HM, canned fish was okay but only if it is packed in water and only 12oz per week. I have been doing pretty well with not drinking pop. Over the holiday I did have a couple glasses, (and a couple drink drinks) But for the most part pop is not a need to have item:)

I haven't baked in awhile either (big weakness is eating my own baking), I did bake a banana bread the other day for my mom's kids when they were over here, and yes I had a couple slices;) But, moderation right?

Anyway, Happy New year to all! Best wishes in 2011, Here's to a year full of good things to come!!!!

~Cheers~
